Ever imagine of being on a nostalgic train ride? A 134 km track of the North Borneo Railway is probably is only steam-powered train left on earth. Service began in 1989 to transport tobacco from Tenom to Kota Kinabalu, has left undeveloped both purposely and unpurposely, as it has become a tourist attraction for the state.

If you’re planning to do water rafting at Sungai Padas, this train service actually would take you there. Otherwise just enjoy the ride, the experience and the beautiful countryside.

There is two way to ride the train, by taking the normal daily ride or the twice a week service package on a special interior design cabin, that comes with breakfast and lunch, to bring back that high-class British colonisation era train ride experience.
